Multi-Phase AC Power Drive (April 13, 2026)
In a follow-up post, Dr. Horace Drew specified the electrical drive scheme for the rotating-magnet device and proposed how the same principle scales to observed UAP craft:
"This device uses 3-phase AC power, as applied to two different sets of wire coils (3 U-V-W or 6 U-V-W-U-V-W). The Buga orb may use 5-phase AC power, as applied to a ring of 5 (embedded) wire coils." — Dr. Horace Drew (Red Collie), X post, April 13, 2026
The claim ties the lab device to the Buga orb sighting: the lab uses standard 3-phase AC across either a 3-coil (U-V-W) or 6-coil (U-V-W-U-V-W) stator, while the Buga orb's geometry — a closed sphere with five embedded coils arranged in a ring — would imply a 5-phase AC drive.

New Discovery: Non-Spinning Attraction → Spinning Repulsion (April 14, 2026)
The day after his lab demonstration of the two-step open/close cycle, Dr. Drew posted a follow-up reporting a deeper finding from his ongoing analysis of crop circle physics. His statement on April 14, 2026:
"The careful study of alien crop pictures has led me to discover a new kind of physics, where a non-spinning magnetic attraction turns into a spinning magnetic repulsion. This 'may' have something to do with the mysterious UFO physics. I will be studying it more soon. When I see some kind of unusual physics drawn in crops, I often try to build a similar device in the lab."
The specific phenomenon Drew describes — a non-spinning magnetic state (attraction) transitioning into a spinning magnetic state (repulsion) — is a distinct observation from his prior two-step open/close cycle work. This is a different phase relationship: the transition from static-field attraction to dynamic-field repulsion. If accurate, this would imply that the onset of rotation in a magnetic system can reverse the dominant interaction — switching from an attractive to a repulsive regime — a behavior not predicted by classical electromagnetism and potentially consistent with the gyromagnetic and gravitomagnetic anomalies described by Ning Li and Podkletnov.
Drew notes he intends to build a physical device in the lab to test this observed behavior, continuing his methodology of translating crop circle geometry into working experimental configurations.

Video Transcription (April 14, 2026)
The following is the full transcription of Dr. Drew's spoken explanation in the video above:
"What is essentially happening here, new to physics on Earth, is that we can have a magnet here, attracted to this center of a magnetic flywheel here when there's no spin motion. So there's no UFO lift there, but when we get spin motions of the magnet and the flywheel in opposite directions, then we get a repulsion between the magnet and the flywheel, which I call delta, which starts spinning and they have to move apart, and that seems to be quite critical to make a UFO fly. [We] will show some examples of that in the next few videos."
"Now we turn it with three-stage color. What happens is it starts spinning and then we go faster. Now it's really hard to simply make it way down. It's pretty hard."
Key observations from the transcription:
- Drew explicitly characterizes this as "new to physics on Earth" — not a refinement of known principles but a genuinely novel electromagnetic behavior.
- The experimental setup: a stationary magnet attracted to the center of a magnetic flywheel when there is no spin. This is the static, attractive state.
- When the magnet and flywheel are set into counter-rotation (opposite directions), attraction reverses into repulsion — what Drew labels the "delta" state.
- In the delta state, the two components "have to move apart" — the repulsion is not a passive force but actively drives separation, which Drew identifies as "quite critical to make a UFO fly."
- The three-stage color visualization demonstrates spin-up: as rotation speed increases, the repulsive upward force strengthens to the point where it becomes "really hard to simply make it way down" — the device is resisting gravity through the counter-rotating magnetic repulsion effect.
- Drew intends to show further examples in subsequent videos, suggesting this is an ongoing experimental series.
This experimental behavior — static attraction transitioning to counter-rotational repulsion strong enough to resist gravity — has no straightforward explanation within conventional electromagnetism, where the relative rotation of two magnetic systems should not reverse their dominant interaction. The closest theoretical frameworks that would predict anomalous behavior from counter-rotating magnetic systems are the gravitomagnetic amplification work of Ning Li and the Podkletnov rotating superconductor weight-reduction experiments described in the Evidence section below.

Video Transcription (April 19, 2026)
The following is the full transcription of Dr. Drew's "UFO Physics" video presentation:
"After two years of work, I think I may understand the physics of UFO levitation. First let me show you some examples of how it works using this small model, and then I'll explain the mechanism. Watch carefully please."
"Now where did I get all the information to figure this out and build such a complex model? Well over the years, 30 years, there's been a lot of crop pictures which were actually made by friendly aliens, not by open boards, and they give lots of technical diagrams saying how it works. Here's one huge thing, these are people standing inside, and it shows something going up through a ring, and here's another one, shows something spinning in two directions, and again going up on a pole. So with a little study we can figure out what those means. They've been like 50 crop pictures of this kind, so we have a lot of information."
"Now for teaching purposes today, we're going to demonstrate how this model works using these two diagrams of the crop pictures just shown in a very simple 50 millimeter magnet with a 20 millimeter hole in the middle. It can either be red, north, or south, blue up, which is quite critical, and it'll sit right in the middle of the ring like that, or like that little symbol there. Secondly, we need to understand that that 50 millimeter magnet is sort of held in place in the plane by those four north magnets like that, and you can see it here. It's sort of held in the same plane as these other magnets outside. Furthermore, if we start these two objects spinning, the blue magnet one way, and the red magnet the other way, the little magnet can go down or up on a pole, up or down on this pole. So here we have our pole and go up or down while these two objects are spinning or counter-spinning. So let's just see how that works as it may be very relevant to UFO physics."
"Next we're going to start those four north magnets spinning anti-clockwise around a stainless steel tube, which holds it. 50 millimeter magnet in the center or an 8 millimeter stainless steel rod or 20 millimeter pole. Let's spin this a little faster. The spin motions coming from these six wire coils here, which have three phase wire power and UVW, UVW."
"Look at that step one. We've got the flywheel spinning counterclockwise. Now we're going to turn on power to three other wire for the spinning below there. [...] So the flywheel around is going to be very anti-clockwise. Now what happens is we turn the power, that fast spinning magnet has to be seen in the same plane so it goes down. So it actually goes up and down with periodic spatula like a physics gun or like a squid."
"When the magnet is stationary, it's being held in place by invisible bonds to those four magnets around the outside. It just floats there in the level. And also you see it's being pulled to the magnets on the other side. So those magnets will try to make it wobble a bit and actually hold it in place. You can see as we add three phase power, at first it doesn't spin at all because it's being held on those magnets. There are each a certain point and it finally breaks away and can start spinning. First it doesn't want to spin at all. And then we go a little power powerfully, it breaks away and can start spinning like that. So that's fine, but if you've got a higher speed, it can't spin at all in that plane. It goes down to get away from the other four magnets. [...] So now after a certain point, there is an equilibrium between the flat spin and the downward motion, and it jumps up to jump up very, very powerfully at the top of the other pole."
"If we look carefully, we can see the telly is in crops. This will generate some kind of upward anti-gravity effect for both the magnet and the flywheel, both the blue and the red. We have the magnet sitting here in trapped in four places by north outside magnets. And it tries to go up and the flywheel holds it down, although it can go higher in pulses like that. And then when we start spinning the things, both the magnet goes up and the flywheel goes up. They both go up together, but they're separating as they're pulsing back and forth like a squid, when these two things are spinning in opposite directions."
"Now just incidentally we have a lot of information drawn across by aliens telling us how to do this. Not just what I've shown you about a lot, lot more. Here for example is a magnet wobbling in flat spin around an axis pole with a stainless steel tube there and one, two, three coils around the outside which make it spin by three phase power. Here we have a disc magnet rising up on a pole and it goes through the center of a counter-spinning flywheel with one, two, three power and lifts up like for UFO in flight."
"Here we have six wire coils like this and they have magnets spinning over there in both directions. See these crop pictures are drawn next to another and it makes it lift up like a UFO and you can see those six wire coils right here and we have three wire coils below. There's the six and there's the three and a flywheel spins over them, planet clockwise and a magnet spins on this pole clockwise over them."
"Now some people might ask how do you know how many magnets to put on this flywheel that's counter-spinning around the central magnet which is going clockwise. Well Edwin Furb is a contact T and in Canada he saw UFO spinning with four magnets as it rose up. Exactly as the same as the four magnets we have here. Also a couple of weeks before the other crop pictures shown they showed an image a square of four magnets rotating very fast around a central disc magnet."
Key observations from the transcription:
- Drew claims two years of work have led him to understand UFO levitation physics — this is a culmination, not a preliminary finding.
- The experimental device uses a 50mm magnet with a 20mm hole, held in place by four north magnets on a flywheel, with three-phase AC power (UVW) driving the rotation — consistent with his earlier April 13 posts about the AC drive scheme.
- The core phenomenon: when the magnet is stationary, it's held by attractive bonds to the four surrounding magnets. When three-phase power is applied, it initially resists spinning, then breaks away at a threshold and begins rotating.
- At higher speeds, the magnet "can't spin at all in that plane" and moves downward to escape the four surrounding magnets — then at an equilibrium point, it "jumps up very, very powerfully" — an upward force Drew describes as anti-gravity.
- Both the central magnet and the flywheel rise together while counter-spinning, "pulsing back and forth like a squid" — the squid analogy (jet propulsion through pulsed cycles) is consistent with his two-step open/close thesis.
- Drew cites Edwin Furb, described as a Canadian contactee who witnessed a UFO rising with four spinning magnets — matching the four-magnet flywheel configuration in the lab device.
- Drew claims approximately 50 crop pictures over 30 years provide technical diagrams encoding this propulsion system, which he has been systematically translating into lab configurations.
Overview
The rotating magnets propulsion thesis holds that UAPs use a fundamentally simple physical principle — magnets rotating or pulsing in a carefully timed open-then-closed cycle — to generate propulsive force that does not require combustion, reaction mass, or any of the principles governing conventional aerospace propulsion.
The mechanism described by researcher Dr. Horace Drew (known online as Red Collie) captures the essence of this in seven words: "Open then closed in two steps, over and over again." The cycle:
- Open position — Magnets are oriented to create an expanding electromagnetic field interaction with the surrounding medium (space, vacuum, atmosphere, or water)
- Closed position — Magnets rotate or reverse to complete the field cycle, generating net directional thrust through asymmetric field geometry
The apparent simplicity is deceptive. The physics underlying why an asymmetric pulsed magnetic cycle would generate net thrust — rather than canceling forces — is the subject of ongoing classified and independent research. Several mechanisms have been proposed, each connecting to broader UAP physics theses:
- Gravitomagnetic coupling — Rotating charged matter generates a weak gravitomagnetic field (predicted by general relativity). At sufficiently high rotation rates or with superconducting materials, this effect could be amplified to produce propulsive force (the Ning Li / Podkletnov pathway).
- Vacuum energy rectification — A pulsed asymmetric magnetic field could preferentially extract energy from zero-point vacuum fluctuations in one direction, producing net momentum transfer to the craft (Zero Point Energy pathway).
- Plasma field generation — Rapid magnetic rotation ionizes surrounding matter into plasma, which is then directed for thrust — a magnetically-driven variant of Electromagnetic / Electrogravitics Propulsion.
- Inertial mass reduction — High-frequency rotating magnetic fields could, per the Salvatore Pais Navy patents, reduce the craft's inertial mass, enabling extreme acceleration from modest applied force.
The rotating magnets thesis is notable because it could explain multiple observed UAP characteristics simultaneously: the ability to hover silently (no combustion), to accelerate instantaneously without apparent G-forces (inertial mass reduction), to produce the luminous plasma envelopes observed around UAPs (ionized field), and to operate in any medium — air, water, or vacuum — equally well.
The Physics
The Two-Step Cycle
The fundamental operating principle is a timed electromagnetic cycle with two distinct phases:
Phase 1 — Field Expansion (Open): The rotating magnets reach a configuration where their combined field lines project maximally outward into the surrounding medium. In this phase, the field interacts with the local spacetime metric, vacuum energy, or surrounding plasma. Energy or momentum is effectively "borrowed" from the field interaction.
Phase 2 — Field Collapse (Closed): The magnets rotate to a configuration where field lines fold back inward, collapsing the extended field. The asymmetry between how the field expands and how it collapses — in geometry, timing, or field strength — is where net thrust arises. If the field expands preferentially in one direction and collapses symmetrically, the net result is directional momentum.
This cycle, repeated thousands or millions of times per second, would produce continuous thrust with no net energy loss to heat (in ideal conditions), no exhaust products, and no external moving parts.
Gravitomagnetic Amplification
The most physically grounded pathway for rotating magnet propulsion runs through gravitomagnetism — the relativistic analog of magnetism in the gravitational field. Just as a moving electric charge generates a magnetic field, moving mass generates a gravitomagnetic field.
In ordinary matter at ordinary rotation rates, gravitomagnetic effects are immeasurably small. But physicist Ning Li of the University of Alabama, Huntsville, published peer-reviewed research in Physical Review B (1992) arguing that the individual ions in a rotating superconductor lattice — which rotate independently of the lattice itself when the lattice enters the superconducting state — could generate gravitomagnetic effects many orders of magnitude larger than bulk matter rotation would predict.
Key aspects of Ning Li's thesis:
- In a rotating superconductor, ions decouple from the lattice and can rotate at rates far exceeding the macroscopic disc rotation rate
- Each rotating charged ion generates a tiny gravitomagnetic field
- Coherent alignment of these fields across the superconductor volume produces a macroscopic gravitomagnetic effect
- With sufficient field strength, this effect could shield gravitational force above the disc (partial gravity reduction) or generate directed gravitational force (propulsion)
Li received a $448,970 DOD grant to continue this research. Results were apparently classified. She later disappeared from public research — her fate after leaving UAH is not documented.
Russian physicist Eugene Podkletnov independently reported in the early 1990s that a rotating superconducting disc caused a measurable weight reduction (2%) in objects placed above it. Though his published paper was withdrawn before publication under disputed circumstances, the underlying claim — that rotating superconductors interact anomalously with gravity — has been taken seriously enough that both NASA (Gravitational Research Based on Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide Superconductors, 2003) and BAE Systems (Project Greenglow) conducted follow-up investigations.
The Schauberger Implosion Connection
Austrian naturalist and inventor Viktor Schauberger developed a different pathway to rotating-field propulsion through his concept of implosion — the reverse of explosion. Where conventional engines push combustion gases outward, Schauberger's devices used spiraling, vortex-shaped rotation to pull matter inward along a logarithmic spiral path, releasing energy through controlled implosion.
His "Repulsine" device (1940s) reportedly demonstrated levitation effects during testing. Schauberger described the operating principle as using rotation to create a "biological vacuum" at the center of the vortex — an implosion point where conventional physics broke down and new forces emerged. This may be an early empirical description of vacuum energy extraction via rotating fields.
Whether Schauberger's implosion physics and the rotating magnets thesis describe the same underlying phenomenon from different angles remains an open question.
Crop Circle Evidence (Drew Hypothesis)
Dr. Horace Drew — a DNA researcher with a Caltech and MRC-Cambridge background who has spent decades analyzing crop formations — has developed a systematic interpretation of crop circle geometry as encoded technical diagrams of UAP propulsion principles.
Drew's central thesis: crop circles are not random or human-made art, but technical illustrations created by or for human researchers to convey the operating principles of UAP propulsion. The geometries, he argues, encode:
- Rotating field configurations for magnetic propulsion
- Specific timing ratios for the open/close cycle
- Geometric relationships governing field asymmetry
His April 2026 post showing the two-step rotating magnet mechanism — "Open then closed in two steps, over and over again" — exemplifies this approach: translating crop circle geometry into a functional propulsion diagram.
Drew's framework is controversial. Mainstream researchers attribute all crop formations to human construction. However, Drew notes that some formations appear in crops at night with no physical trace of human entry, and that the geometric precision of certain formations would require tools and time inconsistent with known human hoaxing techniques.

The Bedini Motor Principle
Electronics engineer John Bedini spent decades experimenting with rotating magnetic systems claiming anomalous energy outputs. His core invention — the Bedini Motor / Bedini SG (School Girl) motor — uses a rotating wheel with permanent magnets and a pulsed electromagnetic coil to charge batteries in a pattern that Bedini claimed produced more output energy than input.
The relevance to rotating magnet propulsion: Bedini's experiments demonstrate that asymmetrically pulsed rotating magnetic fields produce measurable anomalies in electromagnetic induction. Whether these anomalies reflect over-unity energy or simply unusual energy routing through the circuit is debated. But the operational principle — timing the pulse to the specific moment of maximum asymmetry in the rotating magnet cycle — directly parallels the two-step open/close mechanism described by Drew.
Bedini died November 5, 2016, on the same day as his brother Gary, four hours apart — both deaths sudden and unexpected.
Wilbert Smith's Project Magnet Observations
Canadian government engineer Wilbert Smith directed Project Magnet (1950-1954), Canada's official government investigation into UAP propulsion. Smith's instrument array — including gravimeters, magnetometers, and ionization detectors — detected a significant anomaly on August 8, 1954, when a "condition of reduced magnetic binding" was recorded.
Smith theorized that UAPs manipulate local magnetic binding energy to achieve propulsion and field effects. His classified 1950 memo confirmed the US had UAP programs rated above the H-bomb in classification. If UAPs operate by modifying local magnetic binding energy through rotating fields, Smith's observations are direct empirical support.
Navy Patents (Pais)
Salvatore Pais Navy patents explicitly describe rotating electromagnetic systems:
- The "Pais Effect" is defined as generating high electromagnetic energy flux through "controlled motion of electrically charged matter subjected to accelerated vibration and/or accelerated spin"
- The craft patent describes generating a "quantum vacuum plasma" around itself through high-frequency rotating electromagnetic fields
- The patents describe inertial mass reduction as a direct result of this rotating field — providing the mechanism for G-force-free extreme acceleration
The rotating field + inertial mass reduction combination is the closest the public patent record comes to describing a functional rotating-magnet propulsion system.

Relationship to Other Theses
Rotating magnets propulsion is not an isolated thesis — it may be the physical mechanism underlying several other documented propulsion approaches:
-
Gravity Manipulation / Antigravity — If rotating magnets produce gravitomagnetic effects (via Ning Li's mechanism), then rotating magnet propulsion IS gravity manipulation propulsion, with rotating magnets as the specific engineering implementation.
-
Electromagnetic / Electrogravitics Propulsion — Electrogravitics uses static high-voltage fields; rotating magnet propulsion uses dynamic rotating fields. Both may be tapping the same fundamental electromagnetic-gravitational coupling, with different field geometries.
-
Zero Point Energy — If the pulsed asymmetric rotating field rectifies quantum vacuum energy in a preferred direction, then rotating magnet propulsion is simultaneously a zero-point energy extraction mechanism for propulsion.
-
Exotic Metamaterials — Superconducting materials are required for the Ning Li / Podkletnov pathways. The exotic isotopic compositions found in recovered UAP materials may indicate specially engineered superconductors optimized for rotating-field gravitomagnetic amplification.
-
Alcubierre Warp Drive — The warp drive requires negative energy density. Some researchers propose that rotating magnetic systems near superconductors could locally engineer the stress-energy tensor in ways consistent with generating the negative energy regions needed for warp geometry.
Criticisms & Counter-Arguments
No Confirmed Replication
The core problem: no laboratory-confirmed, publicly-replicated demonstration exists of a rotating magnetic system generating net directional thrust beyond what conventional electromagnetic induction predicts. Bedini's claimed over-unity results have not been independently replicated in controlled conditions.
Podkletnov Results Unconfirmed
NASA's replication of Podkletnov produced inconclusive results. The original paper was never published in a peer-reviewed journal. Without confirmed independent replication, Podkletnov's weight-reduction effect remains disputed.
Ning Li's Disappearance
While Ning Li's theoretical work is peer-reviewed and her DOD funding is documented, the apparent classification of her results means no public confirmation exists. Absence of published results could reflect successful suppression — or failed experiments.
Drew's Crop Circle Interpretation
The methodology of interpreting crop circles as technical diagrams is not accepted by mainstream researchers or peer-reviewed journals. Without independent confirmation that specific crop circles encode verified propulsion principles, this evidence strand rests on a contested interpretive framework.
Energy Requirements
For rotating superconductor gravitomagnetic effects to produce useful thrust, the rotation rates and field geometries required may exceed what engineering can achieve in a compact vehicle. Some calculations suggest the energy requirements are prohibitive at current material science limits.
