Air Force Research Laboratory — Wright-Patterson AFB

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio is home to the headquarters of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) — the primary scientific research and development organization for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. AFRL manages a combined portfolio of approximately $4.4 billion annually, including $2.2 billion in direct science and technology funding and an additional $2.2 billion in customer-funded R&D. It oversees research in propulsion, directed energy, materials, sensors, information, human performance, munitions, and aerospace vehicles.

Wright-Patterson has long been associated in UAP lore with crash retrieval, reverse engineering, and Project Blue Book. At least three people connected to AFRL Wright-Patterson died or disappeared between 2025 and 2026. They are part of the JPL / LANL / AFRL Scientist Cluster.

UAP Significance of Wright-Patterson​

Wright-Patterson AFB has been at the center of UAP history since the 1940s:

  • Project Blue Book — The Air Force's official UAP investigation (1947–1969) was headquartered at Wright-Patterson. The project's files, and its closure, are documented as part of the broader institutional pattern of UAP suppression.
  • Crash retrieval claims — Persistent claims, including by Maj. Gen. McCasland's wife in her Facebook statement, reference the allegation that "ET bodies and debris from the Roswell crash [are] stored at Wright-Patt."
  • AFRL's science portfolio — Advanced materials, directed energy, propulsion, and sensors research at Wright-Patterson spans exactly the domains that The Sentinel Network identifies as connected to UAP reverse-engineering programs.
  • Tom DeLonge connection — McCasland was reportedly a primary source and advisor for Tom DeLonge's To The Stars Academy, the organization that obtained and publicly released the FLIR1, Gimbal, and GoFast UAP videos that triggered the 2017 Congressional UAP investigations.

The Funding Chain: Reza → McCasland​

According to reporting by The Sentinel Network:

  • Monica Reza co-invented the Mondaloy superalloy — a family of nickel-based superalloys critical to U.S. national security rocket engines replacing Russian-made RD-180 motors
  • Her research received AFRL funding
  • That AFRL budget was overseen by Maj. Gen. McCasland during his command of AFRL Wright-Patterson
  • McCasland vanished eight months after Reza

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department confirmed to Newsweek that detectives were "looking into this to see if there is any connection at all" between the two disappearances.
